Connect your tools
The list is only half the job. The other half is getting it into the sheet, the CRM, or the channel where the next person picks it up. Every tool below sets up the same way: sign in, choose where records land, match the columns, check how the first record will arrive, then send.
Sending a list works on every plan, Free too, as often as you like, and so do Slack and Teams. Keeping a sheet or table in sync, webhooks, and Zapier, Make, and n8n come with Pro and up; keeping a CRM in sync comes with Scale and up. What each plan includes
Spreadsheets and databases
Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Airtable, Notion, and monday.com. Pick the spreadsheet, workbook, table, database, or board, and match each SpecStream field to a column in the tool’s own words: an Airtable field, a Notion property, a monday.com column. Nothing moves until you’ve seen how the first record will look.
Send once, or turn on Keep sending new records. New matches found later, from a refresh or a monitor, go to the same place with the same mapping. If a write times out, SpecStream checks what arrived instead of writing it again, so you don’t get duplicate rows.
CRMs
HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, and Attio. Choose what each record becomes: a company or a contact in HubSpot, an account or a lead in Salesforce, an organization or a person in Pipedrive, a company or a person in Attio. A record becomes a contact, lead, or person only with an email it published. SpecStream never guesses one.
Before creating anything, SpecStream looks for a record the CRM already has with the same company domain or website. You choose what happens then: fill in and update it, or leave it as it is. You can also add everything to a HubSpot list, a Salesforce campaign, a Pipedrive label, or an Attio list, so the new records are easy to find on Monday morning.
Outlook. Sign in, choose the results, and write the email once: a subject and a message, with fields such as {name} or {organization.name} where each result’s own value goes. Each result with a published email gets its own draft in your Outlook Drafts folder, addressed to that email. SpecStream never sends a message: you read each draft and send it from Outlook. Sending again updates a draft you haven’t sent yet, and results without a published email are left out.
From a single result, Write in Gmail or Write in Outlook opens a new email in your own mail on the web, addressed to the email it published, with nothing to connect.
Bring a list in
Import a CSV or Excel file, or paste a link to a Google Sheet, an Excel workbook in OneDrive or SharePoint, or an Airtable table or view. Map the name, website, place, and coordinate columns; extra columns come along. Leave Keep this list up to date on and SpecStream checks the source every day for new and changed rows. Your notes, views, and results stay as they are.
Importing doesn’t research anything or start paid work. More on imports
Zapier, Make, and n8n
Use SpecStream inside the automations you already run. All three have the same triggers and steps.
- Triggers. A find completes, with its records and evidence. A monitor finds something new or changed. Records are added to a collection.
- Steps. Describe a request from a sentence, get a quote, start a find within a maximum set in the step, get matching records, or run a saved request again.
Start from a template: new matches to Google Sheets, new matches to HubSpot companies, new matches posted in Slack, new places from a monitor to Airtable, or a new sheet row that starts a find. Sign in with your SpecStream account, or use an API key with its own scope and spending ceiling. A step can’t spend more than the maximum it carries.
Slack and Teams
Use SpecStream from Slack or Teams, tied to your own account. In Slack, sign in with OAuth and use the /specstream command. In Teams, SpecStream replies with private cards. Either app has to be set up for your workspace first.
Commands follow your account, project, and spending permissions. A chat message can’t start new work without an approved quote. A monitor can also post what it finds in a channel you choose.
OAuth and MCP clients
A registered client asks for read, prepare, or execute access on a separate consent screen. Review what it asks for before you approve it, and revoke it when you’re done.
Webhooks
Create a webhook for find.completed, monitor.found, or collection.records_added. The signing secret is shown once, when you create it, so store it somewhere safe. You can inspect every delivery attempt and revoke the webhook when you no longer need it.
Files and your own code
CSV, Excel, JSON, and HTML exports don’t need a connected account. A list with coordinates also exports as KML for Google My Maps and Google Earth, or GeoJSON for any mapping tool. Use the REST API, SDKs and CLI, or MCP when you need a programmable workflow.
