Notion
Send live web data to a Notion database as pages, one per result, with the source of each kept in a property. Turn on Keep sending, and later matches land in the same database.
SpecStream for NotionSheets, docs & databasesWhat you need
- A free SpecStream account (sign up).
- A Notion database you can add pages to.
- Results from a finished request, such as restaurants in Lyon that opened this year. An imported list gets its matches found before it can go to Notion.
- 1
1. Prepare the database
Notion receives every detail as text. Add a Text property for each detail you want, plus one for the export reference named
specstream_export_id. A property whose name matches a field is picked for it automatically.SpecStream writes each record's name to the title property called Name, so leave that name as it is. SpecStream doesn't create or rename properties.
- 2
2. Connect Notion
On Connections, click Sign in to Notion. Notion asks which pages and databases SpecStream may use. Choose the database you want records in, or the page it sits on.
- 3
3. Choose the database
Pick the Notion database from the ones this account can open. Notion lists only the databases you shared on its access screen. If yours is missing, disconnect Notion, sign in again, and choose it there.
Set Records from to the collection with your results, and select the records you want to send.

4. Match the properties
Choose the Notion property for each field. Notion receives every field, so none can be left out, and each field needs a property of its own. Name goes to the title property. Every other field goes to a text property.
A list with a website, a phone number, and a rating has seven fields: Name, those three details, Record ID, Why it matches, with sources, and Export reference. That means a title property and six text properties.
SpecStream looks in the Export reference property for a page's reference when Notion doesn't confirm a write. Why it matches, with sources holds one line for each reason, with the page it was read from.
- 5
5. Review and send
Review shows how the first record arrives, property by property. Click the button that reads Send and your record count, and each record becomes a page in the database.
Turn on Keep sending and later matches follow the same mapping into this database. You can also start from a collection: select records, open Export, and choose Notion under Send to.
Sending the same record again
A record you send again updates its page instead of adding another. If Notion fails to confirm a write, the send stops and Check delivery queries the database for the page that carries the record's reference. Nothing is sent again until it has.
Export history on Connections lists each send and how it ended.
Send from an assistant
An assistant on SpecStream's MCP server, https://api.specstream.ai/mcp, can send a list to a database you connected here. Ask in your own words, like "Send the Lyon restaurants to my Leads database in Notion." The assistant uses the tool called Send records to a tool with a saved field mapping.
Connecting Notion itself needs your own sign-in, so a key can't do that part. Give the key Read results and their sources, Prepare work and follow-ups, and Read account and balance. The setup guides cover each assistant.
Cost
Records go to your database free of charge. A new find shows its maximum price before it starts and charges only for the matches, from 10ยข each. A search that finds nothing is free.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect from the connection's menu on the Configured tab of Connections. SpecStream deletes the sign-in it stored. To withdraw access on Notion's side as well, remove SpecStream from your Notion connections. Pages already in the database stay.
More
SpecStream for Notion covers what it does in Notion on one page. Every other tool has its guide in Connect your tools. You see the most a request can cost before it starts, and only the matches come out of your balance. Billing has the details. For help, email [email protected].
