Find your first results
Start with what you need to find and the details you want back. If you already have a list, you can import it from a CSV or Excel file, Google Sheets, or Airtable instead.
1. Describe what you need.
Create an account and open a new request. Use everyday language to explain what you’re looking for, which details make a result a match, and what information you want returned. Include a quantity, exclusions, or an order when they matter.
Find software companies in Germany with 50 to 500 employees that are hiring salespeople. Include the job post and the contact email.
Say it the way you’d say it to a person, with “and,” “or,” and “but not” included. Those words change the answer, so SpecStream keeps every one of them:
Find software companies in France founded after 2020 that sell to developers or data teams, but not agencies.
- All ofIn FranceandFounded after 2020

Not sure how to put it? Open Templates in the workspace for requests that already work: shops and venues, companies, products, papers, grants, tenders, jobs, and more. Pick one, change the place or the numbers, and it lands in the box ready to edit.
Rather talk? Press the microphone, say it, and press Enter. The words land in the box as if you’d pasted them, and nothing runs until you press Find. The recording isn’t kept.
A request can ask for up to 10,000 results (25 if you don’t say) and run to 16,000 characters. Ask in any language: names, quoted text and web addresses stay exactly as written, and sources in other languages are read.
Available fields and sources depend on the type of record and the requirements you choose. See where SpecStream looks.
2. Watch it read.
As each word is finished, the card under the box writes up the list your request will become: its name, a column for every rule and detail, and a few empty rows. Your words stay exactly as you typed them. Must have, Only if and Leave out are requirements every result must meet; the rest are details to bring back.
Wording SpecStream can’t read yet gets a line under it when you pause, with Rephrase, Remove and Pick a detail. Nothing is guessed or quietly dropped, and there’s no interpretation to approve: change the words until the card says Ready, then press Find.
3. Review the quote and start.
New work gets a quote for the exact request revision and operation. Review the maximum spend and the useful minimum before you approve it. Changing the scope means a new quote. Saving a request or adding balance doesn’t start any work.
Watch it work. Progress and results arrive while it runs, so you can watch the list fill in. Changed your mind? Stop work keeps the matches already found, and you pay for those at the quoted rate. The price of anything it didn’t get to goes back to your balance.
If anything is uncertain, like a connection that drops mid-purchase, choose Check again. SpecStream recovers the original purchase by its key instead of starting the work twice.
4. Inspect the evidence.
Open a result to see the sources and checks behind each fact. A missing optional field is different from an unresolved required detail. Learn how to read evidence.
Every result went through the same checks, and the same evidence always gives the same answer. See how it works.
5. Keep going.
Save results in a collection, export them, send them to Google Sheets, your CRM, or another connected tool, or share a selected snapshot. You can find more results, gather additional details, or recheck existing facts. Each new operation has its own quote.
