Use SpecStream in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and Perplexity
One server address, five ways in. Pick your client for the exact steps.
Server address
| Client | How you add SpecStream |
|---|---|
| Claude | A custom connector in Claude.ai and Claude Desktop, or one command in Claude Code. |
| ChatGPT | A custom MCP server under ChatGPT Plugins. |
| Cursor | One entry in mcp.json, with your key kept in an environment variable. |
| VS Code | An HTTP server in mcp.json, with the key asked for once. |
| Perplexity | A custom remote connector in Perplexity's settings. |
What your agent can do
Ask in your own words. SpecStream reads the request back and gives you the price, and nothing is spent until you approve a maximum. Results come back checked against every condition, each with its source. The agent works on your account, with the same balance, permissions and spending limits you have.
Another client? Anything that speaks remote MCP over Streamable HTTP works with the address above and an Authorization: Bearer header carrying your API key. The MCP page has the connection details and the tools, and the agents page shows what an agent can do with them.
