The plugin is built and applied for in Kimi's official marketplace, and Kimi's review is pending. Until it is listed, SpecStream's server at https://api.specstream.ai/mcp signs in with OAuth and works in any app that takes a remote MCP server. The setup guides show the steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others.

What you need

  • A SpecStream account, free to create.
  • A Kimi account.

  1. 1. Add the plugin

    Open Kimi's plugin marketplace, find SpecStream, and add it.

    The plugin carries the SpecStream connection and a skill that has Kimi show you the price before it starts anything.

  2. 2. Sign in to SpecStream

    Sign in when Kimi asks, or create a free SpecStream account. Review what Kimi asks for and approve it. The connection then shows Connected.

  3. 3. Ask Kimi

    Say what you want and where, and name the details to bring back:

    Open federal grants for rural broadband, with the deadline and the award amount

    SpecStream reads the request back, and Kimi shows you the price.

  4. 4. Approve the price

    Kimi shows the most the request can cost and when the price expires. Nothing runs and nothing is charged until you say yes to that price. The amount you approve is the ceiling, and you pay only for the matches.

  5. 5. Read the results

    The run finishes in a few minutes. Ask Kimi how it is going, then for the matches. Each comes back with its values and the page each value was read from. Possible matches come back on their own and cost nothing.

Ask in any language

Write the request in Chinese, English, or another language. Names, quoted text, and web addresses stay as you wrote them, and sources in other languages are read.

Keep going in your workspace

Open any result set in your SpecStream workspace to follow each value to its source, put places on a map, export a file, or send records to Google Sheets, Excel, a CRM, or another tool. A monitor reruns a request on a schedule and sends what is new or changed.

Cost

The plugin is free. Requests are paid from your SpecStream balance, only for the matches, and each price shows its maximum before the work starts. New accounts get $10 of work free for 30 days, no card. The details are on the billing page.

Disconnect

Remove the plugin in Kimi. To end SpecStream's sign-in, open Agents & API in your SpecStream workspace, choose OAuth applications, and revoke the connected application. Results you already have stay in your workspace. For help, email [email protected].
