3. Sign in to SpecStream
For the authentication type, choose OAuth. Sign in to SpecStream or create an account, and approve the access v0 asks for. Requests run on the account that signed in, with its balance and spending limits.
To use a key instead, choose Bearer Token and paste a key from Agents & API in SpecStream. Give the key a total spending limit when you create it.

4. Keep it enabled and ask
Leave the server enabled, because a disabled server is not added to the agent. Then describe the app and the data it needs, and name SpecStream:
In the v0 chat
What happens when you ask
SpecStream reads the request back, then quotes the most it can cost. Nothing runs until you approve that price. Rows arrive with the source URL and read time on every value. v0 uses SpecStream while it generates. The app it builds does not call SpecStream, so ask v0 to write the rows into the app as data.
Tool approvals
Tool calls follow the chat's permission mode: Ask, Auto, or Full. SpecStream still shows the price and waits for you to approve it before a run starts, whichever mode you choose.
Cost
Connecting SpecStream to v0 is free. Reading a request and pricing it cost nothing. Each matching row costs 5¢, 15¢ or $1, depending on how much the row needs, plus 5¢ for a person's email and 15¢ for a phone. A quote lasts 30 minutes, a run can't cost more than the maximum you approved, and a run that finds nothing costs nothing. Balance, quotes, and billing has the details.
Disconnect
Turn the SpecStream server off, or remove it, in the MCP menu. To end its access on the SpecStream side, open Agents & API in your workspace, choose OAuth applications, and revoke v0, or revoke the key under API keys. Your saved results stay in your workspace. Questions go to [email protected].
