Until SpecStream is in the marketplace, add it to Devin as a server of your own over HTTP at https://api.specstream.ai/mcp, then sign in to SpecStream when asked or send your API key as an Authorization: Bearer header.

What you need

  • A SpecStream account, free to start with $10 of work for 30 days.
  • A Devin account.

  1. 1. Add SpecStream from the marketplace

    In Devin, open Settings, then MCP Marketplace. Find SpecStream and add it.

    The server lives at https://api.specstream.ai/mcp.

  2. 2. Sign in to SpecStream

    Devin sends you to SpecStream to sign in. Sign in, read what Devin is asking for, and approve it. Devin then acts as you, using your balance and the permissions you granted.

  3. 3. Ask Devin for the data

    Describe the data in a session, including the details you need on each record. For example:

    Find Series A rounds announced this month by cybersecurity startups, with the amount raised, the lead investor, and the announcement. Show me the price before you start.

What happens when you ask

Devin first asks SpecStream to read your request. SpecStream replies with how it understood the request and the maximum the work can cost. SpecStream starts the work only after you approve that price. Then it reads the live web, and rows land in the session as they are found, each with its values and the page it came from.

Ask for a file if you want the data outside the session. SpecStream makes a CSV, Excel, JSON, or HTML download, and it can send results to tools you've connected under Connections. Exports cost nothing.

To keep a dataset fresh, ask for a monitor. It reruns the request on a schedule and reports what changed. See schedules.

Keep a session inside a budget

Signing in connects Devin as you, with your balance and permissions behind it. Paid work still waits for your approved price. To cap what Devin can spend over time, connect with an API key instead of signing in. Create it in the workspace under Agents & API: pick API keys, then Create API key. Read or prepare access lets Devin read prices without starting paid work. Execute access can start it, up to the spending limit you set on the key. Add an expiry for a one-off task.

Send the key as an Authorization: Bearer header when you add the server. To let an agent start specific work without asking each time, use delegated access, which carries a limit per run, a monthly limit, and an expiry.

Cost

Reading a request and pricing it are free. A match with up to five facts costs 10 cents. A match with up to 15 facts plus one related list, such as a company's jobs, costs 30 cents. Anything deeper costs $1. Contact details add 10 cents for an email address and 25 cents for a phone number. A price holds for 30 minutes, and an empty result is free. How quotes and billing work

Disconnect

Open Settings in SpecStream and revoke Devin's access, or open Agents & API and revoke the key. Data already saved stays in your workspace. For help, write to [email protected]. Every other tool SpecStream connects to is listed in Connect your tools.
