Where it looks
Google Maps · OpenStreetMap · Overture Maps · Yelp · Local directories · Food Standards Agency (UK) · Business websites
Where SpecStream looks depends on the request and on what each source makes available. It reads public sources. Details you ask for come back with their sources; the ones nobody published stay marked as unknown.
Ask for exactly what you mean
A good request reads like a good brief. Say it the way you’d say it to a sharp colleague, and SpecStream reads it into parts you can check and change. Try one:
Fill in the blanks
Findinwith. Leave out. Include.
- How many100
- Findsoftware companies
- ✓ InGermany
- ✓ With50 to 500 employees and an open sales role
- ✕ Leave outagencies
- ↩ Bring backthe job post and the email
Longer requests work too. The parts SpecStream understands:
- What it has to have, with thresholds and combinations: “more than 50 employees,” “rated 4.5 or higher,” “in Lisbon or Porto,” “but not franchises.”
- Exclusions: chains, closed places, or anything without a website.
- Order and quantity: “the 25 most cited,” “newest first.”
- Required or optional details. Required ones need evidence before a result counts. Optional ones can come back empty without sinking the record.
Wording that could mean two things stays visible for you to settle, instead of quietly becoming a guess.
