Looker Studio
Chart your SpecStream lists in Looker Studio. Pick a list, and each of its columns becomes a field you can put in a table, a chart or a map: companies by city, tenders by deadline, local businesses by rating. Every row keeps the page it was read from.
Connect a list
- Make an API key in SpecStream under Agents & API. The connector only reads, so give the key a spending limit of $0. See API keys.
- Click Add SpecStream to Looker Studio and allow the connector to reach SpecStream when Google asks.
- Paste the API key. The connector keeps it for your Google account only.
- Under List, pick one of your lists, then click Connect and Create report.
Each data source is one list. To chart another list, add another data source the same way.
Fields
The fields are the list's columns, with the names you see in the workspace. Links come in as URLs and whole numbers or decimals as numbers, so you can sort by rating or sum a value. The Sources field holds the page each row was read from. A value SpecStream couldn't read is left empty.
New records
A data source shows one list. When a schedule finds new or changed records, it delivers them as that run's own results, so pick them in the data source settings, or have the schedule send them to a Google Sheet and chart the sheet. The connector keeps a list for five minutes; choose Refresh data in the report to read it again.
What the connector can do
It reads the lists your API key can open and nothing else. It can't start a run, spend from your balance, or change a list. SpecStream sees only the requests for your lists; it never sees your reports or your other data in Google. See the privacy policy and security.
Cost
The connector is free on every plan, and reading your lists costs nothing. You pay only for the runs that find the rows, at the price you approve. New accounts get $10 of work free, no card. See pricing.
Remove
In Looker Studio, open the data source and choose Revoke access, or delete the data source. To stop the key everywhere, revoke it in SpecStream under Agents & API. The other tools SpecStream works with are in Connect your tools. For help, email [email protected].
