Webflow
Fill a Webflow CMS collection with live web data: companies, local businesses, job posts, filings, products. Ask in plain words, see how SpecStream read it and the most it can cost, approve, and the records land in the collection as items, each with the page it was read from.
SpecStream is in review for the Webflow Marketplace. You can start the install yourself with Connect Webflow below, which opens Webflow's authorization for the app.
Install
- Click Connect Webflow above, or install SpecStream from the Webflow Marketplace Coming soon.
- Webflow asks which sites SpecStream may use. Pick them and click Authorize. If you cancel, nothing is connected.
You authorize Webflow once. After that, open the app at api.specstream.ai/integrations/webflow/app (opens in a new tab); it keeps you signed in, and you can sign back in with your SpecStream API key.
Connect SpecStream
The first time, the app asks for a SpecStream API key. Create one under Agents & API (opens in a new tab) in your workspace, paste it and click Connect SpecStream. Starting is free: new accounts get $10 of work, no card.
Choose the collection
Pick the Site and the Collection, or choose New collection and name it. SpecStream creates the collection when you add the records.
Ask for data
Describe what you want in plain words, set how many Results, and click Get the price. For example:
Coffee shops in Austin with their website and Google rating
Approve the price
The app shows how SpecStream read the request and the most it can cost. Set Your maximum (USD) and click Approve up to the price. Nothing runs before you approve, and nothing runs above your maximum.
Results take a few minutes. You can close the page; the run keeps going, and its results wait in your SpecStream workspace and under Add results you already have. Stop the run ends it, and you pay only for the results it already found.
Add the records
When the results are ready, the app lists the fields it fills. Fields marked new are created in the collection; a field with the same name and a compatible type is reused. Each result becomes an item:
- The item's Name is the result's name, and its slug is made from the name.
- Source is a link to the page the item was read from.
- Read on is the date SpecStream read it.
- SpecStream ID lets the app update the item instead of adding it twice.
Items are added as drafts. Turn on Queue the items for the next site publish to have them go live with your next publish. Click Add and the app writes the items in batches of 100, showing its progress.
Add results again
Open Add results you already have to add an earlier run to any collection. Reading results you already have costs nothing, and items with a matching SpecStream ID are updated in place.
Permissions and data
SpecStream asks Webflow for four permissions: who authorized the app (authorized_user:read), the sites you shared (sites:read), and reading and writing CMS collections (cms:read, cms:write). It reads collections only to match fields and find items it added before, and writes only the collections you pick. It can't publish your site, and it doesn't read pages, forms, ecommerce or users.
The Webflow token and your SpecStream key are stored encrypted on SpecStream's servers and never sent to your browser. See the privacy policy and security.
How SpecStream uses AI
SpecStream uses AI models to read your request and the pages it collects, so results can be wrong. Every item carries the page it came from and when it was read, so you can open the source. The AI services SpecStream uses don't keep what they read and may not train their models on it.
Cost
The app is free. Requests are paid from your SpecStream balance, only for the results that match, and a search that finds nothing is free. See pricing and balance, quotes and billing.
Disconnect
In the app, click Disconnect Webflow. SpecStream revokes its Webflow access and deletes the stored token and key. You can also remove SpecStream under Apps & Integrations in your Webflow workspace settings; the app notices and forgets the token. Items already added stay in your collections. The other tools SpecStream works with are in Connect your tools. For help, email [email protected].
