Bullhorn

Send live web data to Bullhorn as companies or contacts: who's hiring, the posting behind it, the people to call. Every record arrives with why it matches and the pages it came from, and SpecStream looks for the same company or email in Bullhorn before it adds anything.

What you need

  • A SpecStream account. Starting is free.
  • A Bullhorn ATS & CRM user who can add companies and contacts, and edit tearsheets.
  • Results from a finished request. An imported file needs its matches found first.
  1. 1. Connect Bullhorn

In SpecStream, open Connections and choose Bullhorn. Type the username you sign in to Bullhorn with: Bullhorn runs on several servers, and the username tells SpecStream which one is your company's. It isn't kept. Click Sign in to Bullhorn, sign in on Bullhorn's page and allow access.

    Connect Bullhorn, the Account step
The username finds your Bullhorn server; the sign-in happens on Bullhorn's own page.

SpecStream acts as your Bullhorn user, with that user's access. It only looks up companies and contacts, creates and updates them, reads your fields and tearsheets, and adds contacts to the tearsheet you pick. It doesn't read or write candidates, jobs, placements, notes or automations. The sign-in is stored encrypted.

  2. 2. Choose where records go

Add each record as a company or a contact, and decide what happens when Bullhorn already has it: fill it in and update it, or leave it as it is. For contacts, a tearsheet is optional; every contact in the batch lands on it, ready for the desk to work. Then pick the collection the records come from and select the ones to send.

    Connect Bullhorn, the Destination step

Every Bullhorn contact belongs to a company. SpecStream finds a new contact's company by its website, and adds the company first when Bullhorn doesn't have it yet.

  3. 3. Match the fields

Choose the Bullhorn field for each detail, in Bullhorn's own names, custom fields included: a job title to occupation, a phone number to phone, the posting a company is hiring for to a customText field you keep for it. Fields you don't map aren't sent. Each record can also carry why it matches and the pages it came from.

    Connect Bullhorn, the Columns step

A company needs a website or domain. A contact needs an email address the source published and its company's website; SpecStream never guesses an email.

  4. 4. Review and send

Review shows exactly how the first record arrives in Bullhorn. Send the records, and turn on Keep sending to send the collection's new and changed records to the same place with the same mapping, including what a monitor finds on its schedule: next week's openings land on their own.

    Connect Bullhorn, the Review step

Once Bullhorn is connected, send from any collection too: select results, open Export and choose Bullhorn under Send to.

The Export menu, with Bullhorn under Send to

Matching

Before it creates anything, SpecStream searches Bullhorn: companies by website, contacts by email address. A match is updated or left alone, as you chose. If a result matches more than one record, nothing is written for it. A contact already on the tearsheet isn't added twice. If a write times out, SpecStream checks what arrived instead of writing it again.

Records only

SpecStream never starts an automation, sends a mass mail or touches your candidates.

Cost

Sending results to Bullhorn costs nothing. Requests are paid from your SpecStream balance, and each one shows the most it can cost before it starts. See balance, quotes and billing.

Disconnect

Disconnect from Connections in SpecStream, which deletes the stored sign-in at once. Records already in Bullhorn stay there. The other tools SpecStream connects to are in Connect your tools; for help, email [email protected].
