Attio

SpecStream finds companies and people on the live web from a request in your own words, checks each one against every part of your request, and keeps the source behind each fact. The Attio app sends the results you choose into your workspace as companies or people, with only the attributes you map. You see the first record before anything is written.

Connect

In SpecStream, open Connections, choose Attio and sign in. Attio asks you to approve four permissions:

  • Records, read and write, to look for existing companies and people and to create or update them.
  • Object configuration, read, to show your company and person attributes when you map fields.
  • List configuration, read, to show your lists.
  • List entries, read and write, to add records to the list you pick, if you pick one.

SpecStream doesn't read or write notes, tasks, emails or calls.

Map

Choose whether results become companies or people. Then match each SpecStream field to an attribute, in Attio's own names: a company's domain to domains, a phone number to your phone attribute, a rating to a number attribute you made for it. Fields you don't map aren't sent.

You can also pick a list for the records, so this week's results are easy to find. A company needs a domain or website. A person needs an email address the source published; SpecStream never guesses one for a person record.

Send

Open a collection, select results and choose Send to a tool, then Attio. Turn on Keep sending and the collection's new and changed records go to the same place with the same mapping, including what a monitor finds on its schedule.

Matching

Before it creates anything, SpecStream looks for the record in Attio: companies by domain, people by email address. You choose what happens to a match: fill it in and update it, or leave it as it is. If a result matches more than one Attio record, nothing is written for it, so you don't get duplicates. If a write times out, SpecStream checks what arrived instead of writing it again.

SpecStream only writes records. It never sends email or enrolls anyone in a sequence.

Cost

Sending results to Attio costs nothing. Finds are paid from your SpecStream balance, and each one shows the most it can cost before it starts. See balance, quotes and billing.

Disconnect

Disconnect from Connections in SpecStream, or remove the app in your Attio workspace settings. Records already in Attio stay there. The other tools SpecStream connects to are in Connect your tools; for help, email [email protected].
