Power AutomateComing soon

Bring live web data into a Power Automate flow: read a request, review its price, approve it, and pick up the finished records with the page each value was read from.

SpecStream for Power AutomateAutomation
SpecStream for Power Automate is coming soon

SpecStream's Power Automate connector is built and waiting on Microsoft's review, so it isn't in the connector gallery yet. Until it is, a flow can call the SpecStream API with an HTTP action, sending your key as Authorization: Bearer YOUR_SPECSTREAM_API_KEY to https://api.specstream.ai, and a webhook created in Agents & API can start a flow from a web request URL.

What you need

  • A Power Automate account.
  • A SpecStream account that can create an API key.
  1. 1. Add the SpecStream connector

In a flow, add an action and search for SpecStream. Every action below is listed under the connector.

  2. 2. Create an API key

Start in Agents & API: the API keys tab has the Create API key button.

Each action asks the key for its own permission. Read a request needs Create and edit requests, and Review the price needs Read saved requests. Approve the price and run needs Create and edit requests, Prepare work and follow-ups, and Authorize paid work. Get status, Get results, and Register a completion webhook need Read results and their sources. Spending cap and what is left of it needs Read account and balance.

A key used for Register a completion webhook can't be tied to one project. Give the key a Total spending limit. An approval fails until your account has a spending limit, which you set under Usage and billing in Settings.

Copy the key when SpecStream shows it. It appears only once.

  3. 3. Connect your key

When Power Automate asks you to create a connection, paste the key into API key. API base URL is optional. Leave it empty to use https://api.specstream.ai.

  4. 4. Read the request

Read a request takes Request, written in everyday words, and a locale that defaults to en-US. It shows how SpecStream understood the request and returns a request hash for the next action. Nothing is charged.

  5. 5. Review the price

Review the price takes the Request hash from the previous action. Operation is find unless you build on an earlier run with extend, add_facts, or refresh, and then Previous run ID names that run. Results to request is 25 unless you change it, and can go up to 2000. Minimum useful results is optional.

The action shows the exact scope and the most it can cost. Nothing runs.

  6. 6. Approve the price and run

Approve the price and run takes the Price ID and Price signature from the review, a Request key of 8 to 128 characters, and Approved maximum (cents). The maximum is in cents and has to equal the maximum the review showed, so $2.50 is 250.

SpecStream starts the run and sets aside up to that amount from your balance. Sending the same Request key again recovers the run instead of buying twice. A reviewed price expires, so approve it in the same flow run that reviewed it. Run Spending cap and what is left of it first to see how much your key can still start.

  7. 7. Pick up the records

Register a completion webhook tells SpecStream to call a URL when a run completes, so a second flow can start from that call. Get status reports where a run stands.

Get results takes the Find ID and returns the finished records, each with its sources. It only reads. Passing the records to Excel, Teams, or another system is a step you add, and nothing starts a campaign.

What each action does

Limits and cost

Runs are paid from your SpecStream balance, only for the records that match. The approved maximum caps each one. Rates and quotes are covered in balance, quotes, and billing.

Disconnect

Deleting the connection in Power Automate and revoking the key in Agents & API both end access. A completion webhook stays on the Webhooks tab until you revoke it. Data your flows already passed to other apps stays with them. Write to [email protected] with questions.

More

SpecStream for Power Automate covers what it does in Power Automate on one page. Every other tool has its guide in Connect your tools. You see the most a request can cost before it starts, and only the matches come out of your balance. Billing has the details. For help, email [email protected].
