Executor

Add SpecStream to Executor once, and every agent connected to Executor can ask for records from the live web, see the price first, and get rows with a source on every value.

SpecStream for ExecutorAgent frameworks & builders

What you need

  • An Executor account (hosted at app.executor.sh, local, or self-hosted), with an agent such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor connected to it.
  • A SpecStream account. New accounts get $10 of work on sign-up, no card. Create one.

  1. 1. Open the Executor dashboard

    Sign in at app.executor.sh, or open the dashboard of your local or self-hosted Executor.

  2. 2. Add SpecStream as an app

    Add an app and open the Custom app form. It creates an app from a URL for an MCP server, so you write no source. Choose MCP and enter https://api.specstream.ai/mcp.

    Executor checks that the server needs no sign-in or supports OAuth. SpecStream supports OAuth.

  3. 3. Connect your SpecStream account

    Open the app's Accounts tab and choose Connect new account, then Connect. Executor opens SpecStream in your browser. Sign in or create an account, and approve the access Executor asks for. Name the account when Executor asks.

    Executor stores the sign-in and renews it. Requests run on the SpecStream account that signed in, with its balance and spending limits.

  4. 4. Connect your agent to Executor

    If your agent is not connected yet, open the Connect an agent page in the dashboard. It shows the commands for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor with your own endpoint filled in. The hosted endpoint is https://mcp.executor.sh/mcp. Most clients load MCP servers at startup, so restart the client or open a new session.

  5. 5. Ask for data

    Describe the records you want and the details to bring back on each one, and name SpecStream:

    Use SpecStream through Executor to find independent pharmacies in Lyon, with each one's website and opening hours.

What happens when you ask

SpecStream reads the request back, then quotes the most it can cost. Nothing runs until you approve that price. Rows arrive with the source URL and read time on every value.

Cost

Connecting SpecStream to Executor is free. Reading a request and pricing it cost nothing. Each matching row costs 5¢, 15¢ or $1, depending on how much the row needs, plus 5¢ for a person's email and 15¢ for a phone. A quote lasts 30 minutes, a run can't cost more than the maximum you approved, and a run that finds nothing costs nothing. Balance, quotes, and billing has the details.

Disconnect

To end Executor's access on the SpecStream side, open Agents & API in your workspace, choose OAuth applications, and revoke Executor. Your saved results stay in your workspace. Questions go to [email protected].
