SpecStream for Zed
SpecStream is the live web data engine for teams and agents. Zed's agent panel asks SpecStream for live web data and gets structured records back. Add one remote server, sign in once, and the price shows before anything runs.
What you get
- iCalendar parsers, side by side
- Ask for open-source TypeScript libraries that parse iCalendar files, with license, latest release date, and repository. The agent gets one record per library.
- The key stays out of the repo
- Put the API key header in your user settings file. A settings file you share or commit holds only the server URL, and each teammate signs in on their own.
- A price before the run
- The agent brings back the most the request can cost before anything runs, at 5¢, 15¢ or $1 a matching row. A run that finds nothing costs nothing.
Set it up
- In Zed, open Settings, then AI, then MCP Servers, and choose Add Server, then Add Remote Server.
- Enter https://api.specstream.ai/mcp as the URL, or add it under context_servers in your settings file.
- Sign in to SpecStream in the browser when Zed asks, then ask in the agent panel.

Live web data, in Zed.
Ask in your own words for companies, places, people, filings or anything else the web lists. You see the price before anything runs and pay per match.
