SpecStream for VS Code
The SpecStream extension brings live web data into VS Code chat: type @specstream /find and the results stream back as a table. Agent mode gets the SpecStream server from the same extension.
What you get
- A Source column in chatEvery row's Source link goes to the page it was read from, and the reply also says what you were charged.
- A ceiling in your settingsSet specstream.maxMatches to 10 and /find asks for 10 results at most. The approve button shows the most they can cost, and a search with no matches costs nothing.
- Open in workspace, then sendOne press opens the results in your SpecStream workspace. Send them to Google Sheets or your CRM from there, or save the request and new matches come to you.
Set it up
- Install SpecStream from the Extensions view, or click Install in VS Code on the setup guide to add the server alone.
- Run SpecStream: Connect from the Command Palette, start SpecStream in the server list, and sign in.
- Type @specstream /find and what you need in chat, or ask in agent mode.
The full setup guide has every step, with what to do if something doesn’t arrive.
