SpecStream for Hermes Agent
Point Hermes Agent at SpecStream and it pulls live web data as records, each with the page it was read from.
What you get
- Asks before it spendsWith trust: untrusted, Hermes stops and asks you before any SpecStream call that isn't read-only, including the one that approves a price.
- Cron can't spendUnder cron or the messaging gateway nobody can answer that prompt, so a call that would spend is refused. Put refreshes on a schedule in the SpecStream workspace.
- A token Hermes keepsHermes stores the SpecStream token and refreshes it on its own. If it lapses, hermes mcp login specstream signs you back in.
Set it up
- In config.yaml, add specstream under mcp_servers with url https://api.specstream.ai/mcp, auth: oauth and trust: untrusted.
- On the first SpecStream call, open the link Hermes prints, sign in to SpecStream, and approve access.
- Ask Hermes for the records you need.
