Every source that fits, in one table, each one cited.

SpecStream is the live web data engine for teams and agents. Researchers and journalists use it to pull every paper, trial, filing, rule, report or set of council minutes that fits a question into one table, with every value linked to the page or document it was read from and the time it was read.

What does it do?

Ask the question the way you'd brief a research assistant. SpecStream reads the registries, publishers and government sites where that kind of record lives, including PDFs, Word and Excel files and scanned pages, and checks each record against every part of the question.

When a passage settles a point, the row carries the exact quote and its source. A detail nobody published stays empty, sources that disagree both stay on the record with their dates, and an archived copy is labeled historical with the day it was captured.

She reads on a rooftop ledge with a coffee beside her, a long way into the book.

Who is it for?

The work that used to take a week of tabs and a spreadsheet.

Role
Use cases
Academic researchers
Papers on a topic since a given year with citations above a line, with DOI and funders, or trials recruiting for a condition by country, with the sponsor.
Data and investigative journalists
Every council's minutes that mention a policy since 2022, with the city and meeting date, or the officers and pay listed in nonprofits' Form 990 returns.
Policy analysts
Proposed rules with comments still open, by agency, and the legislation made this year on a subject, each with the full text linked.
Students
Datasets under an open license with the format and DOI, or government reports as PDFs, for work that needs a real source.
Security researchers
New vulnerabilities for the software you name, with the score, the weakness and the references.

Top features

Every value, with the line that says so.

Open a row and each value links to the page or document it was read from, with the time it was read. When a passage settles a point, you get the exact quote. A quote that is not on the page is dropped.

What it costs

A record that fits costs 10¢ with up to 5 facts, 30¢ with up to 15, or $1 for anything deeper. Records that don't fit, and ones the sources can't settle, cost nothing.

Every account starts with $10 of work, no card. Pro is $19 a month for $19 of work, and the rates are the same on every plan. Every plan and price

  • Each value has to survive an editor or a reviewerEach one links to its page, with a quote where one exists.
  • The source is a PDF on a government siteDocuments and scans are read like pages.

Every SpecStream tool works on the same lists, so nothing gets copied from one to the next.

Questions?

Yes. PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EPUB and OpenDocument files are read like pages, and scanned pages go through OCR.

No. It reads what is public and doesn't sign in or pass paywalls. Open-access versions, abstracts and registry entries are public, and it reads those.

Cite the source each value links to. SpecStream shows where it read the value and when, so the citation points at the original, not at SpecStream.

Both values stay on the record, each with its source and the date it was read, so you decide which one holds.
