Deal flow and market maps, read from the source.

SpecStream is the live web data engine for teams and agents. Investors and analysts use it to build deal flow and market maps from primary sources: SEC filings, Companies House, registries, careers pages and each company's own site. Every number links to the filing or page it came from, so it holds up in a memo.

What does it do?

Ask for the companies in your thesis the way you'd write it: the sector, the stage, the country, and the signal that matters. SpecStream reads Form D filings for the amount sold and the people named, 8-Ks for new executives, Companies House for share allotments, and careers pages for who is hiring.

A market map is the same request without the signal: every company in a category and country, with the tools on their site, their open roles and the age of their domain. Send it to Affinity or export it to Excel with an Evidence sheet beside the data.

He leans over a drafting table, comparing two prints side by side.

Who is it for?

Each of these starts from a filing or a page someone can check.

How it compares:

Choose something else if…

  • You need funding history and valuations going back yearsSpecStream reads what is published now. It isn't an archive.
  • You need numbers no one files publiclyPrivate valuations and cap tables are not on the public web.

Go with if…

  • Your edge is seeing a filing before a database doesEach run reads the source that day.
  • Your memo needs a source for every numberEach value links to its filing or page.
  • Your thesis is narrower than any category codeDescribe it in words and every company is checked against it.

Use it with the rest of SpecStream.

Every SpecStream tool works on the same lists, so nothing gets copied from one to the next.

Questions?

A Form D is a notice of an exempt offering. It reports the amount sold so far and the total offered, and SpecStream reports what the filing says.

The number of shares issued and the date, from the Companies House filing. They state shares issued, not money raised.

No. It is the date the company's domain was registered, read from the registry, and it is labeled that way.

Yes. Every value links to the filing or page it was read from, with the time it was read, and the Excel export carries an Evidence sheet.
