What the agency says
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ or "State") portion of the Arizona State Implementation Plan (SIP). This revision concerns emissions of particulate matter (PM) that are 10 micrometers ([mu]m) or smaller in diameter (PM<INF>10</INF>) from agricultural crop and animal operations in the West Pinal County PM<INF>10</INF> nonattainment area. We are proposing to approve two local rules to regulate these emission sources under the Clean Air Act (CAA or "Act").
