Bring the file
Open Bring a list and name the collection. Choose your file, identify the header row, and map the columns to the fields you want to use.
- Give each record a name or identifier you can recognize.
- Map websites and location fields where available.
- Keep useful unmatched columns with the original record.
- Review validation errors and correct rows before completing the import.
Know what the import means
Imported values are supplied information. Importing does not verify them, establish qualification, or add evidence. Keep original values distinguishable from later observations.
Ask for the rest
Define requirements for the existing records, add research fields, or ask for a fresh check. The next piece of work starts from the retained list and leaves its original values inspectable.
