# SpecStream for Jan

SpecStream is the live web data engine for teams and agents. Add SpecStream to Jan as a Streamable HTTP server, sign in once, and your chats can ask for records from the live web and show the price first.

## What you get

Records in the chat

Ask for independent pharmacies in Lyon with website and opening hours. The chat gets one record per pharmacy, with the source on every value.

Your own account

Sign in once. Requests run on your SpecStream account, with its balance and spending limits.

A price before the run

The agent brings back the most the request can cost before anything runs, at 5¢, 15¢ or $1 a matching row. A run that finds nothing costs nothing.

## Set it up

1.  In Jan, open Settings, then MCP Servers, and select + Add MCP Server.
2.  Set Transport to HTTP (Streamable HTTP) and enter https://api.specstream.ai/mcp in Command / URL.
3.  Turn the server on, select Sign in, then ask in a chat.
