# SpecStream for Base44

SpecStream is the live web data engine for teams and agents. Connect SpecStream to Base44 as an MCP connection for the builder chat and as a custom integration for your published app, which asks for live data when a visitor approves the price.

## What you get

Import SpecStream's OpenAPI spec once, and every app in the workspace can read a request, show its price, and run it on approval.

Base44 keeps your SpecStream key as an encrypted workspace secret, and only its backend sends it.

## Set it up

1.  In Account preferences, then Builder, then MCP Connections, click Add custom MCP and enter https://api.specstream.ai/mcp with OAuth.
2.  In workspace Settings, under Custom integrations, add https://api.specstream.ai/openapi.json and pick the five endpoints.
3.  Add your API key as the Authorization header, then mention SpecStream in your app's first prompt.
