A search API hands your agent pages, and the agent still has to read them, pull out the fields, check them and drop the duplicates. SpecStream hands it the finished rows: every record that fits all of the request, with each field linked to its source. The loop is four calls. Read the request, get the price, approve a maximum, read the rows. A run keeps going until it reaches the count you asked for, runs out of leads, or hits a time limit that grows with the size of the list. ### **Can an agent spend without a person?** Inside the limits you set. A key with permission to run work can approve a price up to its own spending ceiling, and nothing beyond it. ### **Which MCP clients work?** Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP, including Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code. Sign in with OAuth or an API key. ### **Can an agent pay without an account?** Yes, by card over MPP or in USDC over x402.
