# Sources on every value

Every value in a result keeps its source URL and the time it was read. This page shows where to find them, what a possible match is, what a recheck reports, and what to do when a result is wrong.

## See where a value came from

Open a record. Under **Details**, each value has a line beneath it that links to its source URL. A value reused from earlier work keeps the time it was first read, and gets a new time only when it’s read again.

When two sources disagree, both stay on the record, each with its own page and time.

## See why a record is on the list

Open the record’s **Why it matches** tab to see each part of your request with the line on the page that settles it. A record that was left out shows **Why it’s left out** instead.

A match needs a value for each detail you marked required. Optional details can be empty and the result still counts.

## Possible matches

When the pages don’t settle one part of your request, the result goes under **Possible matches**, apart from the matches, with what’s still open. Possible matches come without contact details and aren’t charged.

## Imported values

Values from a list you imported stay labeled as yours, separate from what SpecStream finds. Importing doesn’t change or confirm them. To fill in or confirm those values, run a lookup on the rows you choose.

## Rechecks

Use **Refresh** when you need current information. A recheck reads the sources again. A record that changed costs half the price of finding it, and one that comes back unchanged or no longer matches costs 1¢. It reports how many records still match, no longer match, stayed [unresolved](https://specstream.ai/docs/glossary.md#unresolved), or couldn’t be reached, and lists each changed value before and after, with the page where the new one was seen.

A source that didn’t respond never counts as unchanged.

## Replay a decision

Every delivered result keeps the [decision](https://specstream.ai/docs/glossary.md#decision) behind it. Choose **Replay** on the record’s **Why it matches** tab, or replay it over the API or MCP, to make the same decision again from the saved pages. A replay reads nothing new, doesn’t change the result, and costs $0. Older results without a saved decision say so.

## Report a wrong result

If a result you paid for is wrong, open its **Why it matches** tab and choose **Report a wrong result** within 7 days. Say which part was wrong and what’s true instead, with a link if you have one.
